Project Rebound at Sonoma State will offer justice-impacted students a strong foundation of support, including:

  • Admissions & Enrollment Support
    Help with applying and enrolling at SSU.

  • Academic Advising Support through Campus Partners
    Project Rebound partners with academic and student services departments to ensure students receive comprehensive advising support tailored to their educational goals. We work collaboratively with faculty advisors, department professional academic advisors, and academic success programs to help students stay on track toward degree progress and timely graduation. These partnerships ensure each student receives the guidance and holistic support needed to thrive academically and complete their degree.

  • Academic and Tutoring Support

    • Project Rebound is committed to supporting your academic success. We collaborate closely with campus partners such as the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC) and TRIO Student Support Services to provide a wide range of academic support services, including:

      • One-on-one tutoring

      • Writing assistance

      • Supplemental Instruction

      • Study skills workshops

      • Academic coaching

  • Financial Aid & Scholarships

    • Access to critical and basic needs funding.

    • Assistance in navigating aid and accessing funding through grants and scholarships.

    • First-year Project Rebound grant support for newly admitted first-time students at Sonoma State. 

    • One paid parking pass per academic year.

    • Meal cards to on-campus dining venues. 

  • Housing Support
    Referrals and help finding stable housing.

  • Community Engagement & Belonging
    Opportunities to build community and connect with others through events, gatherings, and shared experiences.

  • Career & Reentry Services through Campus Partners
    In collaboration with SSU Career Services: support for job readiness, resumes, career planning, and reentry success.

  • Health & Wellness through Campus Partners
    In collaboration with SSU's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): support for mental health and well-being.

  • Technology Support
    Project Rebound students have access to the Center for Academic Access & Student Enrichment (CAASE) Technology Program, which offers technology lending services to support academic success. The following resources are available for semester- or year-long use, helping to ensure students have the tools they need to stay connected and succeed in their coursework. Available items include:

    • Calculators

    • Laptops

    • Noise-canceling headphones

    • Wi-Fi hotspots
